Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026
Atlas ("the app", "we", "us") is a free, open-source bookmark manager for Android. This Privacy Policy is extremely simple because we do not collect any of your data.
1. Summary
- Atlas works 100% offline.
- We do not have any backend servers. We do not collect, store, or transmit your bookmarks, browsing history, usage analytics, or personal information to ourselves or any third party.
- Your data belongs to you and lives strictly on your device.
2. Data stored on your device
All your bookmarks, folders, tags, and settings are saved in a local SQLite database directly on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you manually initiate a JSON or HTML backup export.
Note on Metadata: To provide Intelligent Metadata Extraction, the app fetches website titles, descriptions, and preview images directly from the URLs you save. This is a direct connection between your device and the target website. We do not track or proxy these requests.
3. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
